Great quality product! My only issue with the product is a high pitch whine it gives off when unplugged, but I can live with that given how great the product is overall.
Incredible product for independent charging of batteries while unit is powered up and can handle many types of lithium batteries too all automatically done for every battery.
Great, simple and easy to use. Charges, discharges, or does both automatically in test mode.
This is a very useful Charger and battery Capacity Tester
It also has a USB output when plugged but it’s only one amp and I have plenty of USB chargers. I don’t see a case where I would ever actually use that.
If you just need to charge 18650 or 21700 batteries, this is probably a little much. But if you have a need or want to know actual capacity of the batteries you’re buying and have a use for discharge function of them this is the device for you.
This unit reportedly charges many different kinds of batteries including AA and AAA nickel metal hydride though I probably will only use it for lithium ion. Although they dropped the 300 mA charge level, moselle should be OK at 500 mA. Each channel is completely independent so you don’t have to charge her test batteries in pairs. In the unit comes with a wide variety of safety features so you don’t overcharge or over drain your batteries.
Measuring actual cell capacity is the reason I bought this thing and these days with so many Chinese batteries that are blatantly inflating ( or more accurately just completely fictionalizing ) the numbers, it’s important to know what you’re actually getting. The battery market is always been the wild west whether it’s laptop, cell phone, UPS, or flashlight batteries. This will let me know that my premium cells are genuine and not counterfeit.
The ability to test the real life capacity of lithium-ion battery cells has been very handy. It allows me to allocate batteries to devices, to recycle 18650s, to revitalize and rescues some dead cells destined for the trash, and it allows me to predict how long a given device will run on a particular battery or set of batteries. So I know how many to take on a camping trip or a job. It’s good to know that I have 72 hours worth of flashlight If I’m going away for three days. Now I‘m not likely to run my life the entire time but it’s good to know for emergencies. If you load up with those crap Ultrafire cells and you only have an hour and a half of light, you would really want to know that.
This thing is absolutely phenomenal. Not only will it charge and discharge your batteries very quickly and know what level of charge your cell currently has, but it allows you to test for actual cell capacity. It has a decent build quality, a very large and bright info screen, and more options than most people need
This is the best battery charger because it tells you how many "mah" are going into the battery. The mah is a very important reading because when you are building a battery pack or bank, you want all the batteries to have the same amount otherwise it will be wasting other battery potential. The charger is built to last with using quality parts and comes with the ac/dc wall plug. A definite recommend to everyone, 5 stars, and 2 thumbs-up!
I purchased two of these battery chargers for testing 18650 lithium ion batteries recycled from laptops. The units operate as advertised with the exception of one device did not Change charge currents on slots three and four. I contacted the manufacture through Amazon and within one business day Lan had contacted me for more information and prepared a new charger to be shipped directly to me. Great customer service, a nice small charger that works very well, and performs as expected. I found the NOR test preformed the discharge capacity test fairly accurately. Unlike other reviewer's I will leave this is operating appropriately and for the money is a very good buy.
I bought this for gauging capacity on my old vape batteries. Surprisingly, batteries that I had used+drained daily for a year and in some cases two years are all within about 250mah of their original rating. Awesome. Came with a 12v car charger which is great. Can't be beat for the features and price - highly recommended.
I like having the current adjustment option with this unit. As someone else pointed out and I've confirmed, it's a pain in the rear to remove the batteries if you have four 18650s loaded. No matter how you get them out, it's certainly not beneficial to the longevity of the outer wrap on your cells. Pushing down on a cell, sliding backwards, and trying to lift upwards with your other hand works a little better.
Easy to use. Each battery slot works independently and can automatically detect battery type. So it can work with different types and sizes of batteries with different currents in different modes simultaneously.
Great little charger. Used it to balance 18650 cells for two 3p7s battery packs.
Excellent, it charges very fast, and also discharges the batteries for a longer charge
Much better charger than the standard 500. Can charge at 2000mA on 2 of the ports. I do miss the resistance feature, but overall a better charger.
Great tool for charging and testing 18650 cells. If you used reclaimed batteries this is a must have.
I'm testing recycled 18650 batteries. I get a mah rating upon full charge , and I get a discharge mah rating. I can compare those two to see how efficent the batteries are. If initial battery voltage is below 2.5 volts the charger will give me a visual warning and refuse to charge. very nice device for the money. P Gaskill
