I appreciate it that the unit came with a battery, and I like the idea of the rubber bumpers that goes around it. Sent this to my dad when he told me his refrigerator was warm but his freezer was fine. I do renovation and repair, my pop is older and never really did electrical. With just a few instructions, he successfully used a multimeter for the first time to check continuity on defrost heater. He liked that there was a sound setting-- since he had never done it before and we were expecting no reading, he could be sure the probes were making contact.
Seldom do I find a product that is better than I expected. I thought it would be one of the cheap meters. It is a excellent meter for the price. It has some great features. The auto range is great you don't have to change the range every time you go from on range to the next. The storage of the leads is great you wrapt the leads around the meter then place the probes in the slots and it keeps the leads in place so that the are not tied in knots. Has a stand that folds out so you can set the meter up for easy reading of the meter. . I bought it for the house got tired of to the shop every time I needed a meter. I like it so much going to get another one ! I seldom give a review. But if your looking for a easy to use meter with lots of features you can't go wrong with this one
I’ve never used one of these before, directions were fairly easy to understand. Saved me a ton of time and money. I had replaced the heating element and fuses on the dryer, about 2 months later it stopped heating again. Instead of having to take the whole thing apart again, I was able to remove the vent hose, and reach the fuses I needed to test. First one had no continuity, other two tested were good, I then tested my replacement part before install, and it was also good. Put everything back and we have heat again!! Took about 10 minutes, instead of 2hrs my first time. So worth the money.. thank you!
I'm not an electronic wizard, however this handy device does help me a lot when wiring phone lines, cat internet lines, checking power outlets to make sure they're working, etc. And is much smaller and more lightweight than the meter I inherited from my dad! I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a volt/ohm meter,
I have used meters for many decades and was head of a calibrations service. This meter fits the use of any normal use up to its capabilities of ranges.
I purchased this meter because I was tired of walking down to my shop every time I needed to troubleshoot some electrical issue at the house. I expected a cheap Chinese made meter, one for the house and infrequent use. This meter is well made and user friendly as my other meters costing two to three times. I’ve only owned it for two months but so far so good. If there are any issues with the meter this review will be updated.
The display is bright and clear. DC current reads in the plus or minus direction (i.e. you don't need to worry about polarity when measuring DC current). I am sure that feature has been out there for a while, but first time I have seen it on an inexpensive meter.
It does what its supposed to and at a minimal cost. I'm impressed but the features of it too- the backlight, something I thought I would never use and seemed like a gimmick has already been used in the dark working on lights in the garage. And the flip out stand can be used, gently, to hang the meter from the back. Also used in the garage. I will update if this does but I'm guessing I'll be good for a long time.
Needed a multimeter to diagnose some electrical issues on my Jeep. I was attracted to the price and positive reviews. Comes nicely packaged and works out of the box. I compared voltage readings to a more expensive multimeter, and results where the same. I do wish there was a spot on the device to attach/store the probes when not in use. But for the price, I can’t really complain. Would purchase again. Will be a back up meter that I store in the Jeep.
I've had a number of multimeters and voltmeters, some cheap and some fairly expensive. This model is in the "sweet spot" of high quality at a very affordable price. The meter is well built, accurate and easy to use. Unlike many multimeters, it comes with clear instructions. I contacted the manufacturer's customer service with a minor issue and they immediately resolved it. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service. I would recommend this product, and this manufacturer, to anyone.
