Sooooo wonderful!!! We have had this for about six weeks now and the batteries are still going strong… If I can get at least three months out of them I will be happy. We put them in the stairway leading to our front door… This means that we do not have to toggle on the light switch which is in a very inconvenient location for us. We love the fact that they automatically come in as we back yet… Our stairway is about 20 feet long and we used a total of three of them… Nice clean light. We also put one in the pantry and one in the closet and one in a storage unit so far. we love them so much that I ordered a six pack in addition already… super convenient and definitely a plus in the safety department.
These are great! I’ve got one in the garage right next to the door to the house, so when I open that door to get something out of the garage fridge, I don’t have to turn on the garage light. I have another one under the bed so it comes on when I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Another one is in our walk in closet.
We have a cupboard in the hallway outside of the bathroom that we use as an enormous medicine cabinet. Even with the hall light on seeing beyond the front 6 inches or so becomes dicey especially as our eyesight continues to deteriorate with age. So I decided to look for a battery-operated light to use in there and was quite pleased when I ran across these on Amazon. In my mind's eye, I was picturing some clunky old unit that eats batteries like you'd find on an infomercial in the old days. Being rechargeable and knowing how bright LED lights can be I was sold on these when I read the description. Then when they arrived I was beyond pleased. They're very bright and almost effortless to install. The most mechanically challenged person ever could install these in only minutes. No kidding. They double as really great emergency lights when the power goes out too. Put one in each room like the bathroom for example and it'll light the space up for you as you walk thru the door considering it's well placed. I'm going to order more of these while I'm thinking about them. Put them anywhere you could use a little more light.
These lights are much better quality than I expected for the price. The frames are made of aluminum. I thought I was only going to get cheap plastic. The magnet strips are EXTREMELY strong! It is kind of hard to pull the light assembly away from the magnet - especially when you first un-box them and get ready to mount them. But that is a good thing in the end. They are not going anywhere once they are mounted. Definitely not the brightest light in the shed, but very suitable for what I am using them for...two are mounted under the shelves of a dark pantry and one is being used as an "automatic bathroom night light". The motion sensor works well (in the dark) I do kinda wish there was a way to override the light sensing feature. There is no way to turn them on if the machine "thinks" there is too much light in the room. The only other problem is that they do time out in 15 seconds. That is a good thing for the battery life, I am sure, but a bad thing if you need continuous light for longer than 15 seconds. You just have to wave a hand or something to get it to turn back on. Bottom line is that I would highly recommend them for someone wanting to use them for similar purposes like what I am using them for.
These lights work really well in my shoe closet. They are bright and make it much easier to find what I am looking for.
I am entirely satisfied, and am impressed with their customer service as well. I am actually going to be ordering another set!
These are great! I was concerned if they would be bright/white enough to light up a staircase that had no outlets to plug wall night lights into. The LED's are crystal clear and a very bright (but not obnoxious) white. They turn on when motion is detected within 10 feet and will stay on for 15 seconds. I wound up only needing to use 2 of the light bars, will happily find a place to use the 3rd! And will definitely buy again in the future.
These lights are perfect for lighting up steps. They are very bright and light up the whole stairwell. Highly recommend!
These lights are perfect for our basement, where we rarely go (but when we do our hands are usually full of stuff we're taking down there). They are sensitive to movement and turn off after about 30 seconds of stillness. Best of all, they are remarkably bright, doing a great job of lighting up an area immediately, even before you walk in the room. Open the door, the lights are on before the door is even an inch open.
Bought these for a reach-in closet that I reconfigured to make more hanging space. These were a perfect addition to see all the items in the closet. They are sensitive to motion, but not overly sensitive that they are going off all the time. I don't have any trouble activating these lights. They are battery operated and I have them hanging on a wall using the included tape strip, and there is a magnet on the back so you can just pull down the unit to change the battery and pop it back on the wall...easy peasy. I can see lots of applications for this light - in the bathroom under the counter to light up the floor at night and even under the kitchen cabinet for an easy light solution.
I purchased these on a whim, but have found them to be much better than I expected. I placed two under the stairs at my parents house where the water filtration and softener system is. Now I don't need a flashlight when I'm working under there. They are plenty bright and the motion detector is sensitive enough that I don't have to worry about it and I don't need to remember to shut it off when I'm done. If it would just get rid of the spiders in there, it would be perfect
And being that there isn't that much light really in most cases to see in cupboards especially in low light but sometimes even during the day, these do the job perfectly!
Saw these used on a couple of YouTube RV channels and they are very useful as advertised. I bought more even to put in other cupboards, they are really great to use!
I bought these to alleviate the "please leave the seat down" dichotomy that exists in our marriage and sneaked it under a cabinet so it is invisible without telling my wife. She and I are VERY pleased. comes on immediately when we enter the dark bathroom and stays lit for 15-20 seconds; re-lights easily with a simple wave of the hand. Has been in place for several months and still running well on original batteries. I've also put one in a safe and it works great as well.
We've had these for about 1.5 years now... have a series of 6 spaced out over a stairwell. They work great to light the stairs as we go up or down at night...we can see the next steps and they just keep turning on as we go... the sensors catch motion at least a step ahead. Stay on for 10-15 seconds. Beats turning on the bright overhead light in the middle of the night or early morning.
These were far better than I expected. I got them for my closet, which needed just a little bit of light. As far as that goes, they put off plenty of light. They come with a strip of 3M magnet strips on them. I used these to put them on the door frame in my closet. After a couple nights, they fell down. The frame where I put them is slightly beveled, so it wasn't a flush contact. I can't fault AMIR or 3M for this, by any means. I will be buying more of these soon.
I did have an issue with the lights at first, but realized it was user error. I purchase motion lights often because I always for use for them. I use to purchase the cheaper one's but they suck the battery life quickly. I will be using these from now on.
I purchased these for my daughters play kitchen since it's slightly dark in the cabinets, even during the day. These work great for that and even better since children always forget to turn the lights off.
I bought two pks. (6) of these sturdy, handy little lights and put them up last night. They have replaced two night lights and two spot lights with extension cords to trip over or drape over, around, or under whatever to get to an available outlet. The motion detectors work well, and the brightness is enough for one of them placed in a central area to light both my kitchen and family room. I like the fact that I can detach them from their magnetic mounting for replacing batteries when needed or to use as a flashlight. I'm thinking that these would be great gifts too!
These are pretty great little lights. I have a few issues with them but overall am happy with my purchase. They are battery powered and work well with motion detection. I bought two sets and one out of the six I had to have my husband fix because the contact piece was off a little and wasn't hitting the battery so it wasn't lighting up. The sticky part of the magnet aren't that strong and most of them fell off after a few uses. I just got the 3m wall hook pull tab things and used those instead and they work great with it and those don't damage your surfaces. I put them in our medicine cabinet and a few of our cupboards.
