So yeah, the price is pretty awesome. The device actually works. This is the one you should be buying. No regrets.
This little stick is by far one of the most handy little tools that I don't go anywhere without. The build quality, even though it's made of some sort of plastic, feels very solid and nice to hold. This is by far the best in terms of the fact that they managed to fit soo much into such a small stick. If you're into photography at all and you want to make the photo transfer process that much easier I think this is essential. I've been using this to transfer hundreds upon thousands of photos since I've had it, and not once have I had any issues with it. I feel very confident in saying that this won't corrupt your files during transfer, nor will it have any issues connected to a variety of different machines. Overall I don't think you can do much better with any other product for something this small and useful within the area of photography.
NOW I can manually save on the microSD that is usually supported on many devices that don't even have a USB slot. Then I can take the chip out and continue on my laptop or desktop. I no longer have to worry about sync issues. Everything is exactly where I left off because I have the hardcopy save in hand. It reminds me of carrying around memory cards during the N64 days or early PS1 days. It is GREAT and reliable because you save it when YOU save it.
This has helped me gain control over my devices. I use clouds at times and sometimes my devices are offline without cellular data because they don't have cell data and I'm in my car out of a wifi zone or at a park. If I continue to another device, I end up getting some kind of sync issue if I never let the cloud update the old device (by going online) before switching to a device that has cellular data or wifi in range. This usually creates conflicting notes or 2 versions that can be a pain. Sometimes as many as 3-4 copies can be made if I roam between a tablet, laptop, desktop and mini-laptop.
Works great. The first one I ordered came squished and damaged in shipping... I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement. After using it for a few weeks now, I am impressed. Its pretty light weight but the plastic shell is sturdy. The USB connector you just put your finger nail in and it pops out so you can use the micro USB part. Its pretty cool. It seems overly intricate though and not sure how long the micro usb/usb part will last since there is a tiny lever mechanism that i think will wear out over time. But for now it works really good! I think it will last at least 3 or 4 years. But for what It can do and the price, its really not bad at all! i love it. Like you could transfer pictures to your friends phone way faster than using wifi to transfer pics and large video files. So yeah its cool.
The card reader has survived a trip through the washer and dryer! This gadget is still working great! I tried it on a new Moto G5 plus and it worked as expected, I was able to use the G5 phone to view everything on the SD card.
This works so phenomenally, incomprehensibly well -- absent the least intimation of a glitch, even when used on my kindle
I don't misplace this when not in use since it's so tiny I bought this cute little zippered memory card wallet. This sits behind my laptop on my laptop stand. When I use this I pop off the cap and put it inside the wallet. Definitely get something like this if you don't have this on a desk or somewhere where you can easily put it in a drawer for safekeeping.
Works great and unlike some other card readers doesn't block the second USB port. When I used my last card reader I had to remove whatever was plugged into the port next to it. My laptop immediately recognizes this when it is plugged in so pulling files over is super fast.
I was admittedly a little worried buying this. It was cheap, and had four completely different ports - that's a lot of options. What I'm saying was, it seemed simply too good to be true, haha. But no, this little guy works like a champ. : ) I got it mainly for use when I'm traveling - switching photos and such back and forth between my camera, laptop, and cell phone. It's horrendously convenient, the design in and of itself. The fact that it all works flawlessly is the cherry on top. Thank you very much for this amazing product!
I bought this item to review my dash-cam videos on my computer. The price was great so I did not know what to expect but I am happy to say it is a great buy. Likes: This is very small and does not block my other USB port. Another great feature is that you do not have to have the sim card adapter in it, as there are two slots. One for micro sim card and regular. Dislikes: None that I have found but as another review has said I would recommend having a small bag to store it so it will not get lost. I keep mine in my desk drawer but this just gives the device a little extra protection.
I was initially turned onto this product after watching MKBHD's video on his everyday carry tech bag and noticed this gem and decided to purchase the card reader and so far i am very impressed. The selling point for me was the portability factor i can put it in my bag or pocket and save alot of room compared to average readers that are medium size boxes with a cable attached. The speed is fast being USB 3.0 and has all the ports necessary with micro SD and SD slots as well as usb type c. the build quality feels nice in the hand and has caps that have a satisfying and firm click the only down side and it is very small but on the edges of the caps there is some small thin plastic that is left over from the mold but can be easily scraped off with your nail for a clean edge, other than that i am very happy and would highly recomend.
So far so good. Went looking for a very quick, easy, and inexpensive way to view or transfer the dash cam footage that is being recorded on my Aukey dashcam in my car. This is perfect for this scenario where I can quickly pop out the microSD memory card out of the dashcam and view it from any device with a USB-C port (like my Samsung phone and android tablet). I can also use this to view or transfer the videos to a computer that has a USB 3.0 port on it. Not sure if I'm able to really see USB 3.0 speeds as I suspect the MicroSD card is the bottleneck, but there was very little price difference for the extra capability (vs USB 2.0). It's not made from the best materials as it's just plastic, but hoping it will last.
I bought this product to use with my GoPro gear and I wanted to test if the USB-3.0 or USB-C connections really made a difference from a regular USB connected reader. Well, it definitely does!
I bought this to check SD cards on game cameras/trail cameras. It has USB C connection which is what I need for my Samsung phone. It had a difficulty at first being recognized on my phone but after a couple tweaks, I was able to view the micro SD card. This reads and transfers pictures very fast. Adding this to my PC was quite easy, just plug and play. The dongle is just the right size to be able to use without getting in the way. The quality seems to be quite good. It's also capable of reading other cards such as full size SD cards, TF and more. It's so much better than having to pull an SD card from a camera and having to bring it home to my PC then bring it back to the woods. Very good product overall.
So far very pleased. I have a Samsung ( galaxy) S7 phone and I was able to move/ transfer photos, videos, and documents to a new sandisk micro sdxc memory card. i inserted my new 200GB Sandisk micro sdxc memory card into the proper slot in the Vanja gadget ( Vanja Micro USB OTG Adapter and USB 2.0 Portable Memory Card Reader for SDXC, SDHC, SD, MMC, RS-M..... ) and inserted the Vanja into the charging port of my Samsung S7 phone. As hoped , the external device shows up in the phone's menu and you can then choose types of files you would like to ( copy or ) move- such as photos, Video, Documents and Audio. It is my understanding that the phone may have trouble accessing information if you move apps?) You can see the ammount of memory allocated/ used between your internal memory, the old ( existing in the phone) card, and the external card. When I was done, I disconnected the Vanja and replaced my existing memory card in the phone with the new one, and my phone seems to be working fine. As I am quite cautious, I copied the data I wanted to save ( rather than move) so the old data should still be available on the old card. Even though my old 32 GB card has been removed from the phone it is not erased.
This is a great little adapter for direct transfer of image/video files from your SD cards to a phone or PC. If your Android phone includes the OTG (On the Go) feature it should recognize the adapter as soon as it is plugged in, assuming that you have a valid SD card inserted. I have a 2017 Samsung J7 and it picked it up as expected. I used the app that was included with my phone to access the SD card via the adapter but there are other ways to access the folders depending on the phone you have. I found this much quicker and more reliable that the bluetooth image transfer that some cameras will offer. The only issue that some may have is that the micro USB plug may not fully insert if you have a protective case on your phone. I have a rubberized case on mine which I have to pull away to fully insert the adapter. I actually bought another version of this adapter that has the micro plug attached to the end of a short cable. This works just the same but fits right through the opening in the protective case.
Overall, it’s super worth it and good to have even just lying around. And it’s a great price so you have really not much to lose. Highly recommended for anyone and heavy duty transferring.
Since I use lots of SD card storage and I’m constantly transferring files, this was the exact piece I needed. I chose the USB 3.0 which works flawlessly and has fantastic speed.
