Very nice bit of gear and easy as pie to hook up to your stereo. Very, very pleased to have such high quality streaming music capability added to my amp for such a reasonable cost.
Works exactly as advertised. I use it inside and outside to run a modified 1967 jukebox. It is impossible to tell the difference in sound quality between a direct connection and this BT device. I use a noise filter, but I am not certain it is needed for this receiver. The filter is mainly used to filter out noise from the florescent lights inside the jukebox. Over the last 3 years, I have tried several different manufactures of BT receivers and this is the best yet.
I recently purchased a Marantz 2015 stereo receiver. This thing was built in 1974-75. It's is a great sounding work of art. It's a beautiful machine. I play music from my iPhone 6S through the receiver with an RCA cable hooked up to the 2015's tape 1 input. I wanted to cut the cord. So, based on reviews I bought the B06 BT receiver. I plugged it in. Turned it on. My phone found it immediately. I plugged it into the 2015's "switched" outlet in it's back. So, when I turn off the unit the B06 also turns off. Easy peasy. So far it works really well.
What more can I say? It is a superb piece of equipment and I like it very much (plus my wife is pleased too) and I give it my highest recommendation.
This Bluetooth Receiver for Home Music Streaming Stereo System (Upgraded Version with Power Adapter) is a truly excellent Bluetooth receiver.
I have a BMW motorcycle and have been trying to connect my phone & music to it for 2 years. Anyone who owns a BMW knows what I am talking about. With this device I was connected in less than two minutes. Sound quality is great and absolutely worth every penny.
I purchased this to allow silent TV watching and video gaming. It works perfectly. It pairs like a champ and stays connected. It reconnects fine when I leave the range then return. I haven't run it until it completely discharges yet but I have used it for over 3 hours straight without an issue. I plan to buy another add bluetooth to an older Bose system I have.
I bought a new tv and found out it didn’t have Bluetooth and it had the new digital optical out put for sound, so I couldn’t use the transmitter / receiver I had, so I searched and bought this one. Works great with my wireless earbuds.
This is replacing a similar one for the last couple of years that suddenly stopped working. It was a little difficult getting my ear buds paired, but now pairs with both of them at the same time or either one whenever I take them out of their cases. Very happy with the sound quality.
I got this for a small project for my Dad as he is hard of hearing and has to have the TV volume up pretty high and all I can say is it turned out a lot better than I was thinking.
Allows me to listen to all the music my system can produce. I hear the subtle tonality of each instrument. Everything is crystal clear from the deepest bass to the highest treble. Silence is dead silent. I am completely thrilled and happy to recommend this device to everyone who has an old system that has no bluetooth.
I bought this so I could connect Pandora via my phone's bluetooth to my 1970's vintage KLH receiver with KLH acoustic suspension speakers sound system. My system doesn't have a subwoofer. If yours does, get ready for the best sound ride of your life.
I highly recommend this
It works great, the maximum distance in my house from my iPhone to the Wave is about 75', and it plays just fine as I walk around the house listening to Pandora and Napster, or just chillin' on the porch.
Good luck to you and I hope this will save you a bit of money and music enjoyment.
I have an old Bose Wave Radio (circa 1997) that I wanted to convert into a Bluetooth speaker.Easy as pie. Ordered this receiver, plugged it in and it paired in 30 seconds. Ancient tech becomes new again for 67 bucks. A big plus with this unit is that it comes with red and white audio jack cables, saving another purchase.
I have this connected to my switched outlet on my receiver. When I turn the receiver on, this also turns on and connects to my one plus 5 (android phone) automatically. I have the "Trigger" app setup to start playing music when the BT receiver connects to my phone. Overall very nice and easy setup!
This thing saved me from buying a whole new bluetooth enabled amplifier. My existing amp for my home system costed hundreds of dollars, worked fine, looked just the same as a amplifier with bluetooth the standard black, yet did not have bluetooth. This $67 saved me hundreds of dollars by modernizing my hardware allowing me to stream music through my premium system.
I like to listen to music while I work, using my phone through my old stereo, but the cable was too short to safely reach the desk, so skipping a song meant wheeling over to the stereo to tap the screen. So I bought this as an inexpensive way to keep my phone on my desk and still have it play through the stereo. Setup could not be easier - just turn it on, go into the Bluetooth settings on your device, and select it from the list. You CAN pair two devices to it at one time, but you cannot play both at once. You can try, but the results are not anything you'd want to listen to . . . The sound quality is good enough for me. Not necessarily the best, but my hearing isn't good enough for the best anyway. The sound is clear and loud enough, so I'm happy with it. And I very much appreciate the on\off switch. I don't like leaving things on when I'm not using them, so the fact that this one has a switch that the more expensive models don't have was a big factor in my decision. And it includes all the cables you could need, which many of the more costly devices do not include. So this thing is a bargain in addition to being a pretty good Bluetooth receiver.
Delivery is fast, everything works as stated. I recommend the store.
I've used these receiver modules for maybe 10 years. The last one I used in a travel trailer. The BT receiver connected to my smartphone and the receiver was connected to a basic digital audio amp, the $25 kind. It worked, but that BT receiver disconnected when the audio stopped, and it made annoying beeps. I got sick of reconnecting it in the 'settings' menu.
So I bought this device hoping it would just maintain the connection, whether I was playing music or videos or whatever. It does. It seem to just stay connected to my Android X4. This is a much bigger device than the last one. It uses a standard USB connector to a power cube, but it has a coaxial connector on the device end. Generally they seem to use the older micro type USB that used to come on phones. If you don't have the cable, it get complicated or it might be tough to replace.
In normal audio mode, the sound quality is excellent to my ears: crisp highs, clean middle, no muddiness. Vocals have good presence and articulation.
I picked up this Bluetooth receiver because I wanted to listen to Spotify through my home theater system. Since Spotify has decided not to provide a working app for the Roku platform (which would've let me listen through my Roku TV), this was the next best option.
Sounds almost as good as a direct Aux cable. Can’t really critique the surround sound since my system does not have surround sound but the standard version sounds great! The surround sound is good but on a standard stereo unit it’s lowers the vocals and makes the background music louder (church hall sounding) which I expected because using a true surround sound system you would have a center speaker that would compensate for the vocals. Overall really neat product that works great for old stereos that don’t have Bluetooth or an aux port. I’m using it on a 1988 Onkyo and an RCA home theater. The only negative with the device is that it will constantly connect you to the device if you have connected once to it. Ex: You come home and it immediately connects to it even if your speaker system is off. I would say it’s better to have to disconnect then constantly reconnect.
